Freestyle Ice
Freestyle Ice is a great time to get on the ice and practice your figure skating skills! Private lessons can be scheduled during this time as well.
Skaters must pre-register for Freestyle Ice time ahead of time, and can register for either individual dates or full sessions.
Wednesday Freestyle Ice
Wednesdays: 3:40-4:30pm

Program Packages
MRC offers Figure Skating classes in either Intro or Advanced packages. Our Intro Package includes intro versions of the Edges, Freeskate (levels 1-6), Power Stroking, and Off-Ice Jump & Spin classes. For skaters who have passes Basic Skills level 3, our Advanced Package offers the regular curriculum of the above four classes, plus our Ice Dance program.
If you do not want to participate in all of the classes included in the package, please email our Front Desk manager, Casie Weaver, at casie@midcoastrec.org BEFORE registering, and we will be able to prorate the cost.
Intro Package
Must pass Learn to Skate level Basic 3 to participate
Saturdays: 8:00-8:45am
& 10:20-11:30am
$150 per 6-Week Session
Pre-registration is required for each session. Proration can be made if you do not want to participate in all 4 classes included in the package. To receive the proration, please email our Front Desk manager, Casie Weaver, at casie@midcoastrec.org BEFORE registering!
Advanced Package
Must pass Learn to Skate level Basic 5 to participate
Saturdays: 8:00-8:45am
& 10-11:30am
$215 per 6-Week Session

Theater on Ice
Theater on Ice is a competitive team sport that combines the joy and grace of figure skating with the excitement and creativity of theatre and dance. At the introductory level, the core components of Theater on Ice are choreography, skating movements, and skater camaraderie.
Following the Learn to Skate USA® curriculum, MRC's Theater on Ice program focuses on theme, the choreographic process, and body movement.
