Figure Skating

Following the U.S. Figure Skating curriculum, MRC offers classes for skaters looking to take their first steps into the world of figure skating, as well as skaters wanting to hone their skills for competition.

Learn: Freestyle Ice
Ages 10-18

Freestyle Ice is a great time to get on the ice and practice your figure skating skills! Private lessons can be scheduled during this time as well.

Skaters must pre-register for Freestyle Ice time ahead of time, and can register for either individual dates or full sessions.

Learn/Play: Program Packages
Ages 10-18

MRC offers Figure Skating classes in either Intro or Advanced packages. Learn the exhilarating art of figure skating!

 

Intro Package includes intro versions of the Edges, Freeskate (levels 1-6), Power Stroking, and Off-Ice Jump & Spin classes.

 

For skaters who have passes Basic Skills level 3, our Advanced Package offers the regular curriculum of the above four classes, plus our Ice Dance program. Grow as a skater and a performer, hone your craft, and enjoy the thrill!

If you do not want to participate in all of the classes included in the package, please email our Front Desk manager, Casie Weaver, at casie@midcoastrec.org BEFORE registering, and we will be able to prorate the cost.
