Junior Tennis Programs
Our junior tennis programs are set up into 4 different levels running each month - 4 week sessions, we do not allow drop ins. Registration is required ahead of time for these classes as they fill up quickly. If there is a wait list for a class, we will add you to the wait list and call you if someone cancels out of the session. These programs begin at age 4 & 5 and continue up through the high school level. A participant is considered a junior until they've completed College.
Start Date: 9/14
This program is for kids ages 4-5. Hand-eye coordination, balance, agility, fun games and basic stroke production will be the focus of this group.
Cost: 1st Month FREE
This program is for kids ages 6-8 and offers a great introduction to the game. Learning to rally, basic stroke production, court positioning and fun games will be the focus. This group uses red balls and most activities will use the 36' court.
This program is for kids ages 7-10. Learning to rally, basic stroke production, court positioning and fun games will be the focus. This group uses orange balls and most activities will use the 60' court.
Green Ball 1
This program is for kids ages 9-14. Learning to rally, stroke production, court positioning, match play and fun games are the focus. This group uses green balls and many activities are full court.
Green Ball 2
This program is for kids ages 9-14 who are ready to move up from Green Ball 1. The ability to maintain medium length rallies and serve consistency are a prerequisite. Kids should have taken a minimum of several Green Ball 1 sessions. Stroke technique, court positioning, match play, basic strategy and fun games are the focus. Kids in this group should be starting to think about participating in junior team tennis and in-house tournaments.
The junior tennis academy is for experienced players ages 10-14. More advanced strokes, strategy and tactics will be covered. Players in this group should be participating in tournaments and junior team tennis.
MRC's Tennis Academy is for experienced players ages 14-18. Advanced strokes, strategies and objectives are covered.
This group is for tournament players and higher level varsity high school players.
High School Tennis
A tennis clinic for high school players. Strokes, strategy, tactics, singles and doubles, sportsmanship and teamwork are the focus.
